Toyota Gifony Create Music Videos from Assembly Lines

Exceptional Backstage Pass to How a Toyota is Made

The news is that Toyota is now giving drivers an insight into the manufacturing process with a new program called Toyota Gifony, which allows users to create their own videos using sounds and visuals from the Corolla production lines in Blue Springs, Mississippi, and Georgetown, Kentucky.

The DJ is you! It’s the 2015 Toyota Corolla rolling off the production line in its own “Gifony” remix.

Toyota Gifony (www.Gifony.com) offers users an exceptional backstage pass to beyond belief world of high technology, people-powered machines and music to let you see how your car goes from a coil of steel to what’s parked in your driveway.

This is one really ingenious marketing scheme for the Toyota Corolla. The program offers a total of 45 gifs, which users can watch, hear and combine in order to create a unique video made solely from the sounds and sights of the assembly line. Consumers can either choose to share these videos via Facebook and Twitter, or just download the tracks using SoundCloud.

“We really noticed the sights and sounds, and how exhilarating and energizing the plant itself was,” explained Zoe Zeigler, assistant manager for corporate marketing at Toyota. “We thought, wow, there’s a really great opportunity here to show our customers and fans and music enthusiasts just how a Toyota car goes from a coil of steel to what’s parked in your driveway.” It is fun to play around with Gifony and create different tunes.

Consumers are able to create their own songs selecting their favourite gifs and equivalent sounds, like doors being drilled into place (the bass), sheets of steel being stamped into parts (the drums) or team member collabos (lyrics).

“We wanted to give people a rare glimpse at the story behind how their favourite Toyota cars are made,” said Marjorie Schussel, corporate marketing director at Toyota.“ Gifony allows users to experience the thrill of stepping into one of our 10 U.S. manufacturing plants for the first time and entering an exhilarating world of sounds, energy and activity.”

Toyota has collaborated with one of the popular DJ SoNevable in order to produce his own Gifony, to be promoted on his You Tube page, and also across his social media.

Gifony was developed in cooperation with Toyota's advertising agency 360i, ahead with sound engineers from Search party. All sounds and visuals were recorded along with the congregation process at Toyota's manufacturing plant in Blue Springs, Mississippi and Georgetown, Kentucky.

From Mississippi State Plant to Export Toyota Corolla

Nine U.S. Assembled Toyota Model’s Are Now Exported To 32 Countries

Toyota Corolla is the automaker’s best selling model worldwide. That model is produced in Blue Springs, State of Mississippi. Since 17th April, the Corolla is exported to Central and South America and the Caribbean. The best-selling model is now travelling to drivers around the world.

“Now our loyal customers in Central and South America and the Caribbean will experience Toyota Mississippi’s commitment to safety and high-quality, “ Masafumi Hamaguchi, president of Toyota Mississippi said. “The export of Mississippi-built Corollas directly supports 2,000 Toyota jobs, keeps our plant running at optimal capacity and increases opportunities for our suppliers and partners while serving our customers’ needs.”

“Since 2011, Mississippians have been successfully producing Toyota’s best-selling model globally, the Corolla, for the U. S. market. Today, Toyota once again puts Mississippi on the world’s stage with the rollout of the first export vehicle manufactured at the Blue Springs facility, “Miss. Gov. Phil Bryant said. “This new export opportunity further strengthens Mississippi’s growing automotive industry and position in the Southern Automotive Corridor, while also demonstrating to the world that Mississippi has the talented workforce needed to build top-quality vehicles.”

Toyota is to be commended for its long history of investing in U. S. facilities such as this assembly plant in Mississippi, and the resulting creation of tens of thousands of quality jobs. Toyota’s growing success in exporting U.S.–made vehicles is further evidence of its commitment to the U.S. manufacturing sector, “ said Chandra Brown, deputy assistant secretary for manufacturing U.S. department of Commerce, International Trade Administration. “Expanding exports and foreign investment are two of the primary priorities of the Department of Commerce. We are extremely pleased to have Toyota as a valued ally in these efforts. “

This year, the plan is to export more than 7,500 Mississippi-built Corollas to 18 countries in Central and South America and the Caribbean.

Comparing to the previous year, export has increased by 5 percent, an all-time high for the company. In 2013, Toyota’s exports totaled in more than 130,000 units. Toyota expects that its export volumes will grow as the company capitalizes on the improving North American and global automotive market. Toyota began exporting U.S.-assembled vehicles in 1988.

In its 11th generation, the Corolla is the world’s most popular compact sedan. Last summer, the 40 millionth unit was sold worldwide.

America’s bestselling car gets even better with an extensive redesign for 2015

The Camry has been the best-selling car in the U.S. for the last 12 years, supported by loyal buyers wedded to a dependable family car. But Toyota acknowledges that tastes have changed, and buyers of midsize cars want more style, comfort and performance to go with the reliability.

“Customers today love the durability, quality and value that the Camry represents, but they are looking for a little more style, comfort and performance, and this 2015 Camry has all of the above,” said Bob Carter, senior vice president of automotive operations of Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. “This is the new Camry, and it’s coming from the new Toyota.”

Camry and Corolla are two names which are known in almost every corner of this planet. Both are best sellers in their own segment line. Camry is America’s most loved car, they say that every hour, 25 Americans buy a new Camry, and that’s the reason it remained top selling car more than a dozen times. Toyota is already selling Camry to its full potential and sales figures are not a problem for Toyota at all as far as Camry is concerned. But Toyota wanted a new Camry which is not boring like the current generation or for that matter, previous generations.

Toyota’s racing enthusiast and CEO said, I Like Cars That Kick Ass So Our Cars Will Kick Ass Too”. Toyota was working on the refreshed face and technology for not only the 11th generation Corolla. The new Corolla is already selling very well across the US and any other market.

Today, Toyota reveals the fully designed Camry which will go on sale in fall of 2014 as a 2015 model. The new Camry is 1.8″ longer and 0.4″ wider. Re-engineering two stage braking system, redesigned electronic steering as well as suspension system are few of the upgrades.

Toyota says that they have redesigned almost 2000 parts for the new Camry. The only body panel which is shared and same as last Camry is the roof. Full LED Headlights as well daytime running lights are a new addition.

A lot of changes are visible inside as well. New gauge cluster as well as the media console and dashboard design and material gives a fresh look. A wireless cell phone charger is also available standard among all trim levels.

About engines, Camry is carrying over same the 2.5L 4-cylinder and 3.5 V6 engines with automatic transmission.  Hybrid version will remain with same 2.5L engine. The new Camry will sell like it should.

Toyota Corolla - American's love affair

American’s love affair, with the Corolla began in 1968 and the passion is still burning,” said Jack Hollis, Toyota vice president of Marketing. “Always the poster-child for Toyota's legendary quality, the Corolla is all-new for 2014 with expressive styling, a premium interior, and terrific driving dynamics. It's built for the way we live today and the places we go. From urban chic to family road trip, at 40 million we’re just getting started!”

Originally, the Corolla was designed to meet the changing needs of Japanese commuters in the mid-1960s.  When the first Corolla rolled off the line, many automakers offered basic safety features as optional. This resulted in the fact that Corolla was among the first car lines to include rear back-up lights as a standard feature.

Today, the company produces more than 1.1 million Corollas every year, in factories all over the world, from the U.S., China, South Africa, Turkey to Venezuela. The new Corolla spread like wildfire around the world.

The new model was launched by Toyota under a campaign “Style Never Goes Out of Style,” which focuses on pop culture and the span of five decades, from the Corolla's launch in the 1960's until the present day.

Having customers in more than 150 countries, the Corolla has earned its title of “The World’s Car.” Happy and satisfied customers made it the best-selling car. If it wasn’t so, Toyota wouldn’t have sold the 40 millionth Corolla.
For the families who are looking for better fuel efficiency, Toyota announced the upcoming production of a Corolla hybrid.

Hollis continued, “As we celebrate this 40 millionth milestone, we are grateful to all those who have owned and loved their Corollas for the past 47 years and proud of the generations of Corolla Chief Engineers for their enduring vision.”
