Why You Should Consider Buying a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle
Certified pre-owned vehicles, like the pristine fleet of Toyotas available on Westboro Toyota’s lot on Route 9 West, can deliver you a lot of bang for less bucks.
When you buy a new vehicle, it comes with a manufacturer’s warranty up to a specified number of miles or years, usually whichever comes first. With a certified pre-owned Toyota, you’re also getting a great warranty, but the sale price on the vehicle is generally substantially less than it would have been if you had bought the car, truck or SUV brand-new, which could result in big savings for you!
Toyota’s certified used vehicle advantage features a 3-month/3,000-mile comprehensive warranty from the date of your certified purchase, covering any repair or replacement of components which fail under normal use due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
In addition, a certified pre-owned Toyota purchase is backed by a 7-year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty (from the original date of first use when purchased as new).
Westboro Toyota also includes a 7-year/100,000 mile limited powertrain warranty and 1-year of 24-hour roadside assistance (from original date of first use when purchased as new), plus a 160-point inspection to ensure that only the best Toyota used vehicles are chosen as our Toyota-certified pre-owned vehicles. We also run a CarFax® Vehicle History Report to ensure that the vehicle is worthy of being called a certified pre-owned.
If you're in the market to buy a used car, Westboro Toyota highly recommends that you consider a Toyota Certified Used Vehicle.
Is there a particular certified pre-owned Toyota you’re looking for? Stop by Westboro Toyota’s showroom today or call to speak with one of our knowledgeable sales team members who can find you a vehicle that’s right for your family and right for your budget.
Toyota certified pre-owned vehicles are available for financing at just 2.9% for qualified buyers.

Lighter 2013 Toyota Avalon to Quench Your Thirst for Saving At the Pump
Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive
technology has helped enhance the fuel economy in many vehicles across the
fleet of products. Why? Well, there are several reasons, but one of primary note
rests with the fact that Toyota’s engineers have been working tirelessly to
reduce the weight of its vehicles.
Take the 2013 Toyota Avalon,
for example. The Toyota Technical Center’s (TTC) development team has made the
upcoming year’s model lighter, but more rigid, to improve drive performance.
The result of the TTC’s efforts: The 2013 Toyota Avalon is 110 pounds lighter than the 2012 model, making it the lightest vehicle in the premium mid-size segment, Westboro Toyota has learned.
“Our target was to dramatically improve all aspects of dynamic performance, [e]specially in the areas of fuel efficiency, handling and performance,” TTC’s chief Avalon engineer Randy Stephens explained.

Less mass means the 2013
Toyota Avalon will be more responsive and engaged near handling limits,
explained the manager in charge of ride and handling in a recent Toyota press
release.
Westboro Toyota is pleased to tell you the Avalon isn’t the only Toyota to go “on a diet.” The midsize 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid is more than 200 pounds lighter than the 2011 model!
The lighter the vehicle the more likely you are to get better gas mileage. For instance, the 2013 Toyota Avalon offers a combined 40 mpg EPA-rating. Westboro Toyota sure is glad Toyota’s engineers focused on engineering weight reduction into the structure of the new vehicle. Have you seen gas prices lately? They’re creeping back to the $4 per gallon mark!
We can’t wait for the 2013 Toyota Avalon to arrive at Westboro Toyota’s showroom. We’ll keep you posted on its—lighter—arrival.
Don’t wait to wait for the 2013 Toyota Avalon? No problem! Westboro Toyota has got great deals going on right now on brand-new 2012 Avalons. How does just $33,910 sound for a 3.5 liter engine, V-6, six-speed automatic 2012 Avalon Limited (model#3554, stk #36246)?

How to Tell If It’s Time for New Tires—Westboro Toyota's Tire Days Are Here!
How can I tell if it’s time for new tires? This is a question Westboro Toyota’s experienced service technicians are happy to answer for our valued customers.
Believe it or not, Abe Lincoln’s got something to do with it! Yup, take a penny to help gauge tire tread depth. Turn that penny upside down—and if you can see the top of President Lincoln’s head—the tread may not be safe. Better yet, and nothing against good ’ol Honest Abe, but we recommend booking an appointment with Westboro Toyota so we can check your tire tread and depth.
Next up, it’s time to look at the tread grooves. Each groove’s got several spots higher than the rest of the groove. It’s a slight difference in depth—about 2/23 of an inch, but what you’re looking for is where there’s a gap between those spots and the rest of the tire’s groove.
Watch out for a tire’s cup that’s runneth over! Cupping occurs when the tire wears faster than normal. Perhaps one section of the tire is more worn than others. Watch for bulges, which can be a sign that there’s internal trouble with the tire structure. Also, if you see threads or wire mesh, come in today. This could be a serious, dangerous situation that requires immediate attention.
Fortunately, Westboro Toyota’s experienced service team is here to address all of your tire-related questions and concerns. And, best of all, right now it's Tire Days here at Westboro Toyota. We're running a phenomenal deal—buy 3 tires and get one free! We sell all of the major brands—from Michelin, Good Year and Dunlop to Yokohama, Goodrich and Uniroyal and even more in between. Some restrictions apply; contact our service department for more details.
Take advantage of this deal and schedule your appointment online today with Westboro Toyota today! And, become our Facebook fan and follow us on Twitter where we're pretty sure you'll never grow "tired" of hearing about our service deals, live pricing on brand-new Toyotas, and more!

NSYFCA Kicks Off Football Season in Westboro Toyota-Donated Helmets
The Northboro Southboro Youth Football and Cheer Association (NSYFCA) played their first games of the season this past weekend outfitted in new Schutt DNA Pro+ helmets that Westboro Toyota donated to the league.
“While there is no concussion proof helmet made, there are better ones than others and being able to have these for our program gives us the comfort of knowing our players have the best protection available,” say Ray DeSabato, vice president and fundraising co-chairman of the NSTFCA.
Westboro Toyota understands the importance of outfitting players in helmets equipped with the latest technologies, and it welcomed the opportunity to support the T-Hawks in replacing their aging, decade-old helmets. “This could not of happened without the generous donation from Westboro Toyota,” DeSabato says, noting that outfitted in their new helmets the T-Hawks took up some exciting competition against the Shrewsbury Patriots in the season opener.
Westboro Toyota reminds parents and children that helmets are like seatbelts: Secure, well-constructed and properly fitting helmets are there to protect them against potential injuries and should be used whenever kids are playing football and engaging in other potentially dangerous activities, including hockey, skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding and bike riding.
We want to take this opportunity, too, to wish NSYFCA players, parents, and league volunteers all the best for this season. Have fun and be safe everyone!

Celebrate the Meaning of Labor Day
It’s a federal holiday. It signifies the end of summer and the ushering in of all-American autumn pastimes like football. It’s when school—from kindergarten to middle and high school all the way through college—is back in session.
Yes, Westboro Toyota is talking about Labor Day, which will be here before you know it. Observed on the first Monday of September, this year, the unofficial end of summer comes on Sept. 3. And with Labor Day in less than a week, Westboro Toyota can’t help but ponder: What is the real meaning behind this American holiday?
To celebrate the social and economic contributions of workers across our great land—that’s one succinct definition of Labor Day. In the early days, Labor Day supporters envisioned a holiday filled with street parades, speeches by prominent individuals and reflection about the educational facets of the labor movement. Nowadays, we often think of end-of-summer cookouts and harvest fairs to bid adieu to summer and say hello to the crisp days of fall.
Toyota’s is on board with visions. It has made its commitment to the U.S. labor force a priority, and recently there it celebrated the 40th anniversary of Toyota Auto Body California (TABC), the company’s first manufacturing investment in the United States, which now employees close to 500 hard-working Americans who are responsible for making the stamped and welded parts on your Toyota, as well as the steering columns and catalytic converters for a number of Toyota’s vehicle assembly plants across North America. Here is where tests, inspections and repackaging of end-of-life hybrid vehicle batteries take place, too. It’s clear that TABC, and other Toyota manufacturing facilities across the United States are a labor force to be reckoned with—after all, Toyota makes some of the most beloved vehicles that Americans drive—from the Camry to the Rav 4 and the Prius!
Whatever you do on Labor Day, Westboro Toyota hopes you’ll embrace the holiday. Here are some ideas to get your engine revving for this upcoming weekend:
Take a scenic drive using Toyota and the Aududon Society’s “Exit the Highway” as a roadmap for your travels.
Get involved in your local community. For instance, Westboro Toyota is a proud sponsor of the Northboro/Southboro Youth Football and Cheer Association. We recently purchased new helmets for the league and can’t tell you how rewarding it feels to give back to so many well-deserving kids (more on how their season is going to come soon!). Westboro Toyota encourages everyone to take advantage of the nice weather—why not sign up for a charity roadrace or walk this Labor Day weekend to benefit a well-deserving cause focused on helping those in need across Metrowest, Massachusetts and the world?
Finally, stop by Westboro Toyota’s showroom to get in on the Toyota’s nationwide clearance event before it, like Labor Day 2013, is history.
What are your plans for this Labor Day? Share them on Westboro Toyota's Facebook page, and have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend everyone!

Westboro Toyota Reminds U.S. Service Members about Toyota’s Rebate Program
Recently, Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. partnered with Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Dakota Meyer and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s National Chamber Foundation as part of an ongoing initiative to support returning troops and veterans who are transitioning from the military back to civilian jobs.
Sgt. Meyer will make appearances at several Hiring Our Heroes job fairs around the country to help veterans understand the value of personal branding and how to translate their military skills to prospective employers. The hope is that the initiative can help returning veterans land good jobs despite the high unemployment rate. Today, The Boston Globe reported that Massachusetts’ unemployment rate is on the rise as the economy is slowing.
Westboro Toyota realizes that U.S. service members and their families are very likely feeling the crunch as a result of the current state of the economy. We want everyone to know that we offer great rebates on brand-new Toyotas for active duty military personnel, who may be eligible for a $500 rebate when financing the purchase through Toyota Financial Services.
If you are on current active duty with the Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, National Guard or Coast Guard you may be eligible for the rebate pending credit approval and verifiable proof of military status or active service at the time of purchase, i.e., leave and earning statement and military identification card.
Visit our Route 9 showroom to discuss the possibilities with Westboro Toyota’s experienced finance team. Also, browse our live pricing specials on a wide array of brand-new Toyotas. And, thank you to all of the brave U.S. service men and women and your families for all you do!
